Meet Sarah Richmond
After several years of learning the modern world of travel advising as part of a top-producing team, I ventured out to start my own boutique agency in 2024. Securing the most strategic partners in the luxury travel space was key in order for me to be able to best serve our clients. Sol Boutique Travel was created, and is a proud affiliate of The Travel Society - a Virtuoso partner. Together with the resources from the TTS team and the Virtuoso network that elevates our custom itineraries, SBT creates a truly personalized, approachable-luxury experience.
My Story
Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a fair bit of first-born determination, I left my home-state of Michigan 25 years ago to begin my marketing & branding career in Nashville, TN. Working for the next several years in the music industry not only allowed me the opportunity to travel, but to manage large-scale projects, budgets, and marketing plans. Those early professional experiences laid a foundation of creativity in business, client-focused mindset, and essential detail management skills.
Expert Guidance: Personalized service and support
Historically, I was our family’s unofficial vacation planner. Given my professional experience in project management along with a personality wired for research and beautiful places, planning travel fell naturally into my zone. Yet as my young family grew and time to devote to such projects became limited. I also realized the overwhelm and decision fatigue I was experiencing during that particular season of life.
It was in those early-parenting years when my husband and I worked with a travel advisor on a couple’s getaway. Honestly, there was no going back after experiencing the ease and luxury of having a professional make recommendations based on our personalities, style of travel, and budget. I can still recall how freeing it felt all those years ago being on the receiving end of a professionally planned vacation.
Helping busy professionals and families carve out intentional time together to encounter new adventures and incredible destinations is a privilege I hold close.

The history, gastronomy, the people? It was impossible for me not to fall hard for the Mediterranean islands.
Alaska by way of a small-luxury cruise was the perfect combination of active adventure meets elevated & refined travel.
When I need some R&R, Cabo is always at the top of my list for its luxury resorts, fine-dining and of course my favorite jalapeño margs by the ocean.
When staying closer to home is in order - my favorite is exploring our gorgeous National Parks.
An African safari is at the top of my Travel Wish-list.
